Sean and Emily became fascinated by fungi while picking field mushrooms during the Level 4 Lockdown in 2020. Research and experimentation led them led them down a rabbit hole that has never ended. They now own and operate Mushrooms by the Sea in Lorenzen Bay, Raglan.

The farm consists of a spawn laboratory, two incubation rooms, a sterilisation room & a custom built grow room which allows them to cultivate up to 120kgs of gourmet mushrooms every week. Mushrooms by the Sea now provides you with everything you need in order to grow  and enjoy these delicious, gourmet mushrooms at home. Offering everything from grow kits, spawn, cultures, powders, seasonings and fresh mushrooms NZ wide.
